WOW! What an amazing first few days! I feel truly blessed to be a part of bringing Elizabeth home. I also feel SO blessed to have such amazing and supportive family, friends and strangers who realize just how important it is to help get Elizabeth out of the institution! Thank you so much for your kindness, genorosity and support.
Maybe you do not even know that your child is out there just waiting for you. Go check out the RR site! Your child may reach out to you and you didn't even know you were "expecting"!

Have you ever seen something that stopped you dead in your tracks? Took your breath away? Made you sick to your stomach?
A few months ago I saw
THIS post. Then I saw the video on my tab
E. European Mental Institutions. I realized that no longer could I sit here and pretend not to have heard the stories and know the outcomes of the children with Down Syndrome in Eastern Europe and other foreign countries . I have seen it now. It became very personal as each child began to look like my Abbie to me. I cannot ignore the pit of my stomach, heart-wrenching feelings that the above linked post and video stirred up inside me. Ignoring these beautiful children was not an option.
I fell in love with Elizabeth instantly and wished I could be her mother. Unfortunately, international special needs adoption is not a possibility for us right now, but I took one look at her sweet, beautiful face and decided that I was going to do my best to help her even if I couldn't be her momma.
You can read more about how I came to want to help THIS child and THIS family under the tabs above:
Elizabeths Story,

About Reeces Rainbow.. You have all of the information there.
I hope that you will take the time to look it over, look into your hearts and consider what you could donate.
One less coffee this week? Maybe you skip a few lunches out? Can date night or a trip to the movies wait until next week? Maybe your kids have grown out of some things that you could take to a resale shop? Maybe you could skip a few of the luxuries that you purchase each week just this one week and spend that money on saving Elizabeth's life instead? I used my birthday money to provide two giveaway items for random donors. Trust me...nothing has ever felt better or more right to me than making that decision to save this little girl as quickly as possible.

Random.org will select the winners! NOT ME! Therefore family, friends, colleagues, ANYONE can enter. Random.org will store the drawing/winning information on their site.
In order to protect the integrity of the fundraiser and giveaway, random commenters/donors may be asked to validate their donation. You will have several options of how to do this in the event that you are randomly selected. I will not be selecting these either. A very small number of commenters may be chosen by random.org. Again, this is to protect the integrity of the fundraiser as I hope to reach a very broad audience and just want to be sure that everyone is treated fairly for their generosity toward Elizabeth and her family.
